As I said in my last post, I’m taking part in this year’s Index Card a Day challenge, and really hoping to manage to finish it with all 61 cards completed.
After two weeks I’m still going well, and have some definite favourite (and not so favourite) cards.
It’s difficult some days to share the ones I don’t like, but I’m doing my best and I know I’m not alone in that.
ICAD is all about building up a constant creative habit, so that I sit down for a half-hour each day to splash around some paint without worrying about the outcome.
Of course, I do worry, and to be honest it’s becoming more of a challenge as the days go by.
My perfectionism is beginning to kick in and the last couple of days it’s been harder to both create and share.
Apparently it’s not unusual, and ICAD’s organiser Tammie says that the 2-3 week mark is when people usually begin to lose the oomph they started with and drop out.
I’m going to do my best in the next couple of weeks to keep myself decorating index cards every day, even if I fail to share them. Fingers crossed!
Are you taking part in the ICAD challenge, and if pleeeeease let me know how you’re managing in the comments below..
